Joseph Montroy received an MFA in sculpture from Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, New York in 2008.  Joe is currently working at a bronze casting sculpture facility in Eliot Maine, and is teaching 3d design and drawing part time at Laconia community College.

Joe has shown sculpture in a number of galleries in New York, Alabama, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, and Vermont. His work is in collections of private individuals in Concord New Hampshire, Miami Florida, Barneveld, and Clinton New York, as well as Bel Air Maryland. He has taught a number of workshops and classes in sculpture, cast iron, welding, metal casting, and drawing.  Read more about Joseph Montroy on his blog.

Artist Vision

My work is an exploration of the connections I have with certain objects and stories. I am attempting to both respond to and perpetuate this exchange in hopes of reveling potential associations with no rational justifications.
